In Their Own Words

We’ve spent the better part of the fall highlighting our students own comments and feedback on their experience at Campus Life club. They are refreshingly honest and endearing!

Campus Life club gives us the opportunity to meet students where they are. Many students are showing up wounded, hurting from difficult family situations, emotional trauma, or mental health disorders. Research indicates that one in seven of 10-19 year-olds experience mental health conditions that are largely unidentified and untreated [source].

We want to be a safe space for tweens and teens to land, with whatever they're bringing.

That's why we are in plans to launch a pilot program at one of our schools, where we can offer specific and ongoing mental health support to students. We are creating scholarship opportunities for students who have been identified by the school to be part of the program, where we can connect students with one on one mentorship and counseling resources, in order to increase mental health in teens.

To borrow a motto from a northern Colorado chapter of YFC, we are praying this will become a place where students can "heal and belong, so they can hear and believe".

"Campus Life has helped shaped my view of God by showing me how important it is that I am made in the image of God."

“Campus Life has helped me know that God is real and gives me more courage.”

  • “Campus Life helps me keep going in life. It encourages me to talk about what stresses me and the leaders encourage me by bringing me more joy.”

  • "Campus Life kinda opened my eyes to who God is. I see him as awesome and Lord. The leaders really encourage me by connecting with me."

Your gift can help us underwrite a pilot program that will increase mental health in teens through connection, mentorship, and professional help. Will you help us create a place where students can “heal and belong, so they can hear and believe” the gospel of Jesus?

Our ministry leaders shared specific needs and students we can pray over together. These stories are a launching point to pray for the needs of teens across the schools we serve, a call to pray for SO many students in need of gospel hope!
